The North Mississippi Allstars were founded in 1996, by brothers Luther and Cody Dickinson. Citing their major influences, as their father, Jim Dickinson, and the North Mississippi Blues legacy they grew up in, NMA has gone on to pioneer their own blues-infused style of rock and roll.

PLUS, The State is hosting a unique “Fan-Conference" with NMAS. At 8:30, members of the band will chat live onstage with fans and discuss their music, their influences, and the stories that have carried them through years of rock and roll. Additionally, not only will the fans get to listen to the band tell their stories, but they will also get the opportunity to ask them questions themselves! Until noon the day of the show, fans will be encouraged to tweet questions to the venue’s Twitter account - “StateTheatreDC” and if picked, they will get to ask the band their question at the show! Don't miss this rare opportunity.
