IN-HOUSE PRODUCTION
The State Theatre offers full state of the art in house production.
CENTRALLY LOCATED
The State Theatre is centrally located 15 minutes outside of DC, 6 blocks from a subway stop, 2 feet from a bus stop, .5 mile from rt 66 and 2 miles from the National Beltway. Could not be easier to get to.
PROMOTES IN HOUSE
The State Theatre almost exclusively promotes in house. Occasionally we welcome in esteemed promoters All Good Presents, MN8 and KestaDC among others.
AGE RESTRICTIONS
Most of our shows are 18 and up. Our larger dance parties are 21 and up. We have four bars throughout the venue.
RESTAURANT
The State Theatre is also a full restaurant with sit down dining and wait service so customers can enjoy a hot meal before the show if they choose. Dining is never required.
ROOM SETUP
The State Theatre can be configured to several different capacities based on the needs of any given show. The room can be set to a mellow and elegant feel with chandalier lit tables for shows like our acoustic event with The Church, or lively dining style with a full open dance floor surrounded by tables as is set up for Gregg Allman, or no dining - all finger food - dance hall as set up for Broken Social Scene and Ozomatli.
The State Theatre has a set up for just about every theme and demographic. Each show is different and we adjust the room to match it.
GREEN ROOMS
The State Theatre has two green rooms. One headline room, one smaller support room. Each are equiped with their own private bathroom with shower and have a private entrance.
PARKING
We've got lots of it. For our artists, we can accomodate just about everything on-site. For patrons, we offer street parking, a public parking lot, and a partial parking garage. ALL FREE.
