Influenced by The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones and Jimmy Hendrix, New Potato Caboose has had a large impact on today’s jam band scene. Some of today’s most popular jam bands such as Widespread Panic, Dave Matthews and Phish where opening acts for NPC in the mid 80’s. Fans can expect a mixture of original tracks as well as some authentic sounding Grateful Dead covers. This acoustic and electric show is not to be missed!
Modern blues in the '90s had a weird phenomenon of teenage blues guitarists rocketing to popularity with their first album. The entire trend culminated with Jonny Lang, a guitarist from Fargo, ND, who released his solo debut album, Lie to Me, when he was 15. In more than ten years on the road, Lang has toured with the Rolling Stones, Buddy Guy, Aerosmith, B.B. King, Blues Traveler, Jeff Beck and Sting. In 1999, he was invited to play for a White House audience including President and Mrs. Clinton. Lang also makes a cameo appearance in the film Blues Brothers 2000 as a janitor. In 2004, Eric Clapton asked Lang to play a the Crossroads Guitar Festival to raise money for the Crossroads Centre Antigua.
