The 2012 Funniest Fed Competition, sponsored by GEICO. Contest preliminary rounds 1-3 on May 2, 16, and 23 are $12 advance; $15 day of show with doors at 5:30 pm and showtime 7 p.m. The SemiFinals show on June 13 is $15 advance and $18 day of show, with doors at 7; show at 8:00. Free shuttle to and ffrom East Falls Church Metro from 5:30-9 p.m.!
Funniest Fed features federal employees and members of the military performing original standup routines to win the title of DC's funniest federal employee!
Each week (May 2, 16, and 23rd), 8-10 feds will take the stage to turn bureaucratic red tape into comedy gold!
The audience and a panel of judges vote on which comics will move on to the SemiFinals on June 13th - and ultimately to the Finals on June 22nd at the Lincoln Theater in Washington DC.
Funniest Fed(R) has been featured in the Washington Post, Politico, National Journal, Huffington Post, NPR and the DC Shorts Film Festival. 20% of ticket sales will be donated to the Wounded Warriors Project.
