The State Theatre

Believe it or not, Blondie was considered an underground band prior to 1978.  The band became regulars at Max’s Kansas City and CBGB before striking a massive audience with their album Parallel Lines.  From their disco-infused “Heart of Glass” to the punchy bounce of “One Way Or Another”, Blondie played sold out shows across the US with widespread success.  And they’re back for more. 

    Blondie’s newest release Panic of Girls, has caught the attention of old and new fans to the band.  Rolling Stone described it as…”On Blondie’s self-released ninth album, the New York new wave greats fold the present into their past – from a ‘Tide Is High’-tinged cover of Brooklyn avant-folkies Beirut to a ‘Dreaming’-like basher with a melody via TV on the Radio.”   That’s some high praise and we can’t wait to hear what they have in store in the future! 

Blondie is a timeless band and your chance of seeing them is growing slim.  Needless to say, they are gonna rock the house and you’ll likely dance as a result.  This show will sell out, so don’t hesitate on picking up a pair of tickets!
