APRIL 29, 2024 (Wales, UK) – On the morning of Sunday, April 21st, Mike Peters of THE ALARM discovered a large tumor on his neck. Having been diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) in 2005, he erred on the side of caution and visited his hematologist, Dr. Earnest Heartin, at North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre in Bodelwyddan, Wales who immediately ordered an emergency biopsy and determined that Mike’s CLLhas undergone a transformation into a High Grade Lymphoma that requires immediate and specialized cancer treatment. Unfortunately, The Alarm's upcoming U.S. tour Live Today, Love Tomorrow which was set to begin on May 1st though to July 7th with support from Jay Aston's Gene Loves Jezebel and Belouis Some has been postponed. (The Alarm's performance at Pasadena, CA's Cruel World Festival on May 11th will also be affected).

Due to unforeseen circumstances The Blow Monkeys will not be able to join the North American Tour. They have been replaced with Jay Aston's GENE LOVES JEZEBEL.

Described by U2‟s Bono as “The second greatest rock and roll band in the world”, The Alarm was formed in Wales and with the release of 1981’s debut single ‘Unsafe Building’, featured a daring mix of amped-up acoustic guitars, harmonica and passionate Mike Peters‟ vocals likened by early reviewers as “Bob Dylan meets The Clash”. This is the sound of The Alarm that has been heard around the world ever since, with 17 Top 50 UK singles, a host of successful albums and over 6 million album sales worldwide.

British goth rockers Gene Loves Jezebel also featured in heavy rotation across the MTV Network establishing their songs Desire, The Motion of Love and Jealous as massive Billboard Hit singles. With their ever present and enigmatic front man at the helm, Jay Aston’s Gene Loves Jezebel recently performed at the inaugural Cruel World Festival in California 2022 appearing alongside the likes of Morrissey, Bauhaus and Blondie. The band have also recently signed to Cleopatra in the USA and have a brand new album Love Death Sorrow that will be available at all good record stores and online outlets during the Live Today Love Tomorrow MMXXIV tour.
